Mechanically Functional Scaffold Technology

Before one can resume full sport activities it takes one year at least. CellCoTec ’s mechanically functional scaffolds match both the dynamic and static mechanical properties of human knee cartilage, promising greatly reduced rehabilitation times. The technology is based on a PolyActive polymer scaffold system, which can be tailored to the mechanical and biological properties required, by modulating polymer chemistry and 3D structure.

The demonstrated mechanical functionality and support of cartilage formation both in vitro & in vivo makes this polymer system an ideal biomaterial for cartilage repair. PolyActive has an extensive safety file and products based on this technology have received FDA and CE approvals.
