Job description
CellCoTec is a biomedical start-up company, developing cell-based therapies for cartilage repair which can be delivered in a single surgery. With increasing life expectations and interest in high impact sports the patient population with cartilage defects expands. The goal of the company is to develop cell therapies for this large group of relatively young patient for which no other suitable treatment is available, but are to young for total knee replacements. A key element in achieving this goal is the further developing the company’s cell technology. For this several animal models are applied. You will have a key role in demonstrating full proof of concept of this technology. You will be working in a team, being responsible for your own projects. This is a position for 1 year, with the perspective of a permanent contract. CellCoTec is located in the heart of the Netherlands within a scenic campus-like setting
Profile
We are looking for a truly motivated person at HLO/BSc level with a strong sense of responsibility and a personal drive to continuously improve on expertise and skills. Someone, who likes to work in a small team and who is interested in transferring a scientific finding through focused product development into a medical product in a highly dynamic startup environment. Expertise in mammalian cell culture, animal experiments and competence in spoken and written English is essential. We prefer expertise in biochemical, immunocytochemical and histochemical techniques and animal work article 9 or 12 certificate or the willingness to acquire the latter.
